Aural Sculptures are sculptural artwork that integrates into any interior design style seamlessly, while serving as high end speakers with supreme hifi sound quality simultaneously.
Aural Sculptures offer undreamed opportunities to fit hifi sound systems in individual interior designs perfectly. They allow for organic, extraordinary and exclusive shapes and appearances that make each single piece an inimitable work of art for its owner. Finally, Aural Sculptures easily surpass the sound quality you would expect from typical speaker boxes in this class.
Aural Sculptures can replace any usual mono or stereo speaker setup as well as any multi-channel setup, either by powered speakers, passive speakers, or in combination of both.
Yes you can. You may also hide your sound equipment such as impact sound devices, subwoofers and/or centers inside Aural Sculptures.
Aural Sculptures can be designed as homogenous floorstanding speakers or bookshelf speakers with different variants of stands. They may also be designed for wall mounting or as design elements filling room niches and corners. Do you need a special solution to your application? Find the right Aural Sculpture together with us by submitting an individual design inquiry.
Aural Sculptures are currently dedicated to indoor use. When considering outdoor installations, we would be glad to check the particular opportunities together with you. Send us your request here.
Our powered version is running on 24V DC and allows for simple and free-forming fit into nautical interiors. A mentionable benefit is the generally lightweight design of Aural Sculptures, when optimizing for load capacity of boats.
The speaker cabinets of Aural Sculptures are made of powder materials such as:
These materials are polymerized, melted or cemented in specific processes known by the terms “Additive Manufacturing” and “3D Printing”. Parts and products made this way are already established in branches like aeronautics, automotive, medical engineering, robotics, apparel and of course in sculpting.
Aural Sculptures and proprietary accessories are available exclusively via 3beaudio.com. You may chose from available models in the webshop with short-term availability or you may start an inquiry for truly individual design resulting in a unique artwork development.
In the future you’ll also be able to compose your personal design in the Ubox product configurator (coming soon).

Just send us a sketch, a drawing or a reference link to the design that you have in mind. You may present pictures, videos or 3D models of the interior that you would like to furnish, as well as any other usable means illustrating your ideas best. We will then check for feasibility first and, in case, make a proposal for an individual design process based on your preferences. Feel free to use our contact form for individual design.

Aural Sculptures are created around two high precision 5″ woofers in an approximate D’Appolito arrangement. A high quality 3/4″ dome tweeter forms the acoustic midpoint of the 2-way full range speaker system, which is mounted on a monolithic cabinet. The external crossover module can be chosen either passive or powered, the latter composed of an analog-active crossover and a class-D amplifier.
The nominal impedance of an Aural Sculpture is 8 Ohms. Maximum is 20 Ohms at approx 1.3 kHz. Minimum is 4.3 Ohms at approx. 11 kHz.
The Aural Sculpture is for use over the full range of music signals (20Hz to 22kHz). The nominal (“linear”) frequency range of an Aural Sculpture with passive crossover is 60Hz to 22kHz (+/- 6dB).
The nominal SPL of an Aural Sculpture with passive crossover is 82dB by 1W of pink noise signal from 20 Hz to 22kHz. The maximum SPL is 90dB (limited by the linear excursion of the woofers). The maximum SPL limited to the nominal frequency range is >95 dB (before perceivable increase of distortion).
The nominal power rating of an Aural Sculpture with passive crossover is 100W of pink noise signal over nominal frequency range from 60 Hz to 22kHz. The power rating incl. frequency range down to 20 Hz is 30W (limited by the linear excursion of the woofers).
We recommend power amplifiers with nominal ratings of > 40W RMS at 8 Ohms.
When considering a third-party subwoofer to boost the lowest octaves transmission, e.g., for cinematic effects or to fuel a dance party, we recommend to adjust the crossover for both – low-pass/ subwoofer and high-pass/ Aural Sculpture – to approx. 80Hz. This allows for significant extension of max. sound pressure level and power rating of the Aural Sculpture incl. subwoofer while still taking advantage of their vital sound.
Pink noise is a test signal made of a mix of frequencies that comes closest to the respective mix you find in music signal. There are many other established noise signals for testing electronic equipment that help “improving” technical data such as sound pressure levels. However, the significance of pink noise lies in power/ SPL distribution with a clear emphasis on the bass/ root notes area, and therefore helping in determination of technical data much closer (and much more selective) to the purpose of music reproduction.
